1. Who we are
The SpiderNet Trade Portal is operated by SpiderNet Technology FZE (JAFZA, Dubai, UAE) and/or Musallam Trading LLC (together "SpiderNet", "we"). We are the controller of the personal data described here and process it in accordance with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL).
2. What we collect
Account & KYC data: company details, trade licence and tax registration documents, owner and signatory names, nationality and identification documents, contact details (email, phone), and beneficial-ownership information. Transaction data: orders, quotations, offers, bids, invoices, deliveries, RMA requests, and payment references (we never store card numbers — payment is by bank transfer). Technical data: IP address, browser/device information, language preference, and access logs, including records of your acceptance of our terms.
3. Why we process it
To operate your trade account and fulfil orders (performance of contract); to verify your business and screen against sanctions lists (legal obligation — including Federal Decree-Law No. 20 of 2018 on anti-money laundering and Cabinet Decision No. 10 of 2019); to secure the Platform against fraud and abuse (legitimate interest); and to send service communications about your orders and account.
4. Who we share it with
Marketplace suppliers and logistics carriers (only what is needed to fulfil an order — buyer and supplier identities are not disclosed to each other in marketplace negotiations); our IT service providers (hosting and ERP infrastructure) under appropriate safeguards; professional advisers; and competent authorities where the law requires, including reports via the goAML system, which we may be prohibited from disclosing to you.
5. International transfers
Order fulfilment and re-export may involve transferring data to carriers, agents and authorities outside the UAE. We transfer personal data only as permitted by Articles 22–23 of the PDPL, using appropriate safeguards where required.
6. Retention
KYC and transaction records are kept for at least five (5) years after the end of the relationship or transaction, as UAE anti-money-laundering law requires, and otherwise no longer than needed for the purposes above or the defence of legal claims.
7. Your rights
Subject to the PDPL and to retention required by law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us at contacts@spidernetfz.ae. We will respond within a reasonable period. You may also complain to the UAE Data Office.
8. Cookies
The Platform uses only essential cookies: your login session and your language preference. We do not use advertising or third-party analytics cookies.
9. Changes
We may update this notice by publishing a new version on the Platform with a new version date. This notice is published in English and Arabic; in case of divergence the English version prevails to the extent permitted by law.
